A wedding is the union of two people who take up the solemn vow of spending their lives together and to share their joys and alleviate each others difficulties at all times. Many golden questions arise once a man or a woman proposes marriage to his / her partner. These include when, where and how the wedding should take place.
The most important of all is the question of when the wedding should take place because the other factors depend on this. There are various methods employed by couples to choose an appropriate date of their wedding.
Many of them have a venue in mind when they think of their wedding. Such couples may choose their wedding date by setting some tentative dates and then checking with the availability of the venue for those dates. They may confer with their kith and kin to check on whether it coincides with any important events and then opt for something appropriate for everybody. Couples may also try to set the wedding date to fall on a weekend such that it does not hamper the work schedules of their guests.
They may also choose the date keeping in mind certain ambience that they would prefer to have for their wedding. Every person has certain dreams about his/her wedding and may involve certain set ideas that they may want to project during their wedding, for e.g. an outdoor wedding by the lake- such an idea cannot by executed during the winter, when it is too cold outdoors and the lake may be frozen. So if the couple has some such ideas for their wedding, they should choose an apt date, when it is permissible to allow it to come to fruition.
There are still many couples, who may take up the consultation of astrologers and numerologists to help them select an auspicious date for their wedding. These people use the birth dates of the couple to assist them in choosing a proper date, on which their wedding vows are to be solemnized.
